Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Manager Test Automation with 8+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and automation. In this role, you will be responsible for defining automation strategy, building scalable automation frameworks, mentoring automation engineers, and ensuring high test coverage across UI, API, and backend systems. The role requires strong technical expertise along with leadership and cross-team collaboration skills.
You will be a member of the Perfecto R&D staff reporting to the Manager of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
Independently design, develop, and execute automated tests for enterprise applications.Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworksImplement UI automation using Cypress and SeleniumDevelop API automation using tools/frameworks like REST Assured, Postman, or equivalentWrite clean, maintainable automation code in Java, Python, and JavaScriptIntegrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)Execute automated and selective manual test cases across functional, regression, and smoke suitesCollaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teamsPerform root cause analysis of failures and work with teams to resolve issuesEnsure test coverage, test data management, and reportingContribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies and tools
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.8 – 12 years in software testing, with 6+ years in test automation and 2+ years in a lead/ownership/managing roleStrong hands-on experience with Selenium and Appium.Solid expertise in Cypress for modern web automationProficient in Java for automation framework developmentWorking experience with PythonStrong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScriptExperience in designing and maintaining test automation frameworksHands-on experience with API automation testing (REST APIs)Good understanding of CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)Experience with Git and version control practicesFamiliarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Mocha, Jasmine – preferred)Experience in microservices and distributed systemsCloud exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP)Performance testing exposure (JMeter, Gatling)Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
