Our Louisville office is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Aviation Civil Engineering Manager to provide technical engineering leadership and project management oversight for complex, multidiscipline aviation projects. Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical engineering leadership and project management oversight for complex, multidiscipline aviation projects, including runways, taxiways, terminals, airfield pavements, stormwater systems, utilities, parking, and related infrastructure Serve as the primary point of contact for aviation clients, lead engagement activities including proposals, presentations, regulatory meetings, trade shows, and other business development effortsDevelop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and execution plans to ensure successful delivery of aviation and civil engineering design projectsComplete and oversee aviation and civil engineering designs, feasibility studies, technical reports, and engineering documentation using AutoCAD and related design toolsCreate and review 3D models to support design development, quality control, and coordination across project elements. Ensure all engineering designs and processes meet federal, state, and Foth standards, guidelines, and quality expectationsProvide construction representation services, supporting field execution and ensuring alignment between design intent and construction activities Mentor and guide junior engineers on design practices, technical standards, and effective project delivery
Required Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kentucky or the ability to obtain licensure within one (1) yearBachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited program5+ years of project management experience Minimum of 10 years of aviation project design experienceExperience in construction observation or administrationKnowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction (runways, taxiways, grading/drainage, pavement markings, etc.) preferred but not required
