WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking highly motivated, energetic, and exceptional engineers to join our team. In this role, you are expected to apply your expertise in software development and cloud-based platforms, along with your knowledge of backend development and system design skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including platform, operations, and security, to understand requirements, contribute to system design, and develop and test software safely and effectivelyContribute to the design and implementation of scalable and efficient backend systems, including databases, APIs, domain designs, and microservices, with guidance from senior engineersWrite high-quality, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, optimize for performance and security, and troubleshoot issues to ensure system stabilityCollaborate with other developers and work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to follow established engineering best practices and improve team delivery
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience5+ years of software development experience in one or more programming languages such as Go, C#, Java, or Python, including web development experience using popular web frameworksExperience in defining specifications based on requirements, designing microservice architectures and large-scale real-time data processing utilizing asynchronous communication, delivering high-quality coding and testing within an agile development environmentStrong experience in backend development and database management, especially in deploying cloud-based applications in containerized environments like KubernetesGood communication, a proactive mindset, and strong problem-identification and solving skillsBusiness level proficiency in English
NICE TO HAVES
Strong experience in data modeling and database management, whether in relational or NoSQL databasesStrong domain knowledge in reservation or ticketing systems, including experience with booking workflows, pricing models, and payment integrationsA strong user-centric and product-centric mindset, with the ability to take full ownership of features and deliver solutions that meet user needs and business goalsFamiliarity with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch to integrate machine learning models into backend systems for features like recommendation engines or real-time analytics, enhancing application intelligence without being a core requirementConversational level proficiency in Japanese
