About the Role
As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will help accelerate Trendyol’s cloud journey by working closely with platform and infrastructure teams. You will design and build scalable cloud platform capabilities, improve automation, and enable product teams to adopt cloud-native technologies. Your work will focus on creating reliable, efficient, and developer-friendly infrastructure that supports large-scale workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable cloud architectures and automation systems across AWS, GCP, and Alibaba Cloud environments
  • Collaborate with engineering, platform, and operations teams to understand their needs and deliver reliable cloud solutions
  • Contribute to platform and infrastructure roadmaps, proposing improvements and new capabilities
  • Enable product and domain teams to effectively use public cloud platforms and cloud-native technologies
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and architectural strategies to improve cost efficiency, scalability, and performance
  • Expected Qualifications

  • Strong Cloud Expertise – Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure). Ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient architectures.
  • Infrastructure as Code Mindset – Proficient with tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar IaC solutions. Comfortable designing reusable and maintainable infrastructure modules.
  • Platform Thinking – Ability to build internal platforms that improve developer experience and reduce cognitive load for application teams.
  • Automation First Approach – Passion for eliminating manual operations through automation, scripting, and platform tooling.
  • Scalability & Performance Awareness – Experience designing systems that can handle large-scale workloads and traffic spikes while maintaining performance and reliability.
  • Cost Awareness – Ability to design architectures with cost efficiency in mind and experience optimizing cloud resource utilization.
  • Collaborative Mindset – Comfortable working cross-functionally with developers, SREs, network, security and platform teams.
  • Ownership & Leadership – Takes end-to-end ownership of platform components and actively contributes to improving engineering standards.
