We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with containerization technologies, and a deep understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS. This role requires a hands-on professional who is passionate about automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
What you’ll do:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development process
- Develop and manage containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
- Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on VMWare or AWS infrastructure
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system operations
- Ensure security best practices are implemented across all stages of the development lifecycle
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, configurations, and architecture
What you’ll need:
- Minimum of 14 years of DevOps experience supporting Linux based systems on similar programs and contracts
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field
- Five (5) years of relevant experience can substitute for a Bachelor’s degree
Bonus points if you have:
- Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
- Experience documenting and implementing security controls to Linux operating systems
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, or similar container and orchestration technologies
- Strong expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Security Clearance:
- Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
