The Role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. The candidate will help drive the next generation of ControlUp innovation using the cutting edge of modern technologies. This role is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop cutting-edge technologies and DevOps methodologies.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
Work within a team of professionals and be an integral part of ControlUp’s successCollaborate closely with R&D, Security, and IT teams to enhance ControlUp’s infrastructureDeploy and operate a large-scale platformResearch, develop, and implement tools to support ControlUp’s monitoring infrastructure and automationOversee ControlUp’s production environment & system health (including on-call rotation)Contribute to the development of CI/CD processesTroubleshoot complex problems, from diving into the console during an issue to writing new monitors and automation
Your Experience and Qualifications
5+ Years of experience as a DevOps engineerExperience with Jenkins - a mustStrong knowledge of Kubernetes and Container orchestration - a mustHands-on experience in Linux and Windows platformsExperience with monitoring systemsConfiguration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or SaltProgramming and systems experience with an emphasis on the Linux environmentCloud computing systems (AWS/Azure/GCP)Experience with Python/Ruby/PerlExperience in shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell)Ability to work independently and off standard hours when requiredEnglish - High Level (both written and verbal)Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) - an advantage
