In this role, you will help build and evolve the systems that power how software is developed, tested, and delivered at scale within a modern, AI-augmented engineering environment. You will design and maintain backend services, CI/CD pipelines, and internal developer platforms that enable fast, reliable, and scalable software delivery. This position is highly hands-on, requiring strong ownership of complex technical systems and a deep focus on developer experience. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and product teams to improve deployment workflows and operational efficiency. As part of a fast-growing engineering organization, you will contribute to building reliable, observable, and cost-efficient delivery systems. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving platform challenges and improving how teams ship software.
Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and internal APIs that support CI/CD and release engineering workflows
- Develop and improve systems for software delivery, including deployment orchestration, validation, and automation pipelines
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex platform initiatives, from design through production rollout and monitoring
- Define technical approaches through design documents, proofs of concept, and system breakdowns
- Improve system scalability, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across delivery infrastructure
- Build and enhance internal tools and developer-facing platforms to improve engineering productivity
- Implement observability, monitoring, and metrics to ensure system health and operational visibility
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and product teams in an async-first, distributed environment
- 5–8+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on backend or platform systems
- Strong experience designing and building scalable APIs and production-grade backend services
- Proficiency with modern backend technologies (e.g., Python, Node.js, TypeScript, or similar)
- Experience working with CI/CD systems, release pipelines, or infrastructure automation
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, observability, and production system reliability
- Experience debugging complex system issues and improving system performance
- Ability to lead technical design discussions and make architecture-level decisions
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., LLMs, copilots) in engineering workflows
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams
