Wanna join the adventure?
As a member of our Embedded Systems Team, you will contribute to the embedded software design and development of our satellite electronic payloads—cutting-edge systems advancing the state of space-as-a-service. Our work pushes the boundaries of in-space compute, RF communications, software-defined payloads, and more. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced engineers to bring these ideas to life and see your work launched into orbit.
About this Role:
Design and implement high-quality embedded software for satellite systems, following best practices for modularity, maintainability, testability, and efficiencyDevelop and maintain interface drivers, data handling, and networking capabilitiesSupport SW/FW/HW integration to deliver fully functional software solutionsWrite and maintain unit tests and component tests; contribute to CI pipelinesParticipate in hands-on board bring-up, debugging, and system-level testingCollaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and test engineers
Must Haves:
4+ years of experience writing C or C++ for embedded systems (Embedded Linux)Working knowledge of Linux systems, including kernel concepts, device drivers, or BSPsExperience with local and remote debugging tools and workflows (e.g., gdb)Familiarity with hardware interfaces and communication protocols (e.g., UART, DMA, Ethernet, LVDS, SpaceWire)Experience using Linux build and cross-compilation toolchains (e.g., Yocto, Buildroot)Exposure to common processor architectures such as ARM-based SoCsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCurious, resourceful, and comfortable working on novel technical problemsAbility to take ownership of tasks while collaborating effectively within a multi-disciplinary teamWillingness to learn, adapt, and grow into new technologies and responsibilities
Nice to Haves:
Experience with aerospace, space systems, or other safety-critical softwareExposure to virtualization technologies (hypervisors and/or containers)Familiarity with radiation effects or Single Event Upset (SEU) mitigation concepts
