Our team of experienced engineers is dedicated to simplifying and accelerating innovation for inventors and creators through a cutting-edge Experimentation Platform. We help inventors and aspiring inventors to test ideas and hypotheses in both digital and physical environments, leveraging A/B testing (among other kinds of experiments) to make the best data-driven decisions. By helping inventors to integrate experimentation into their product lifecycle, we help them ensure faster, better, and safer product releases. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help build and evolve our Experimentation Platform. You’ll support the technical direction of the team to design, build, and deploy scalable services and data pipelines. You will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable services and data pipelines. You will also collaborate with other teams across the inventors garage ecosystem to design and implement secure and scalable integration layers between multiple components and our platform (including authentication/authorization components). We ask that you have experience with data-heavy applications, scalable microservices, and modern development practices. You have a passion for driving innovation and solving complex problems, as well as mentoring and guiding other engineers. You will require a good level of communication and discussions with other teams to reach technical agreements. You will report to the function manager, and this is a hybrid work style role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development and deployment of the Experimentation Platform backend, from architecture to deployment of final solution
  • Design and architect efficient, scalable systems for data lifecycle and advanced analysis
  • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation to maintain a high standard across the team and mentor backend developers, encouraging technical growth and best practices within the team
  • Identify potential technical challenges, mitigate risks, and provide technical support to other teams
  • Work with other teams, or collaborate with partner teams to ensure integration with front-end services, APIs, and third-party tools
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on complex, data-intensive applications
  • Strong experience with any backend development with languages (such as Java/Kotlin, Scala, Go, Rust or similar)
  • Expertise in building microservices architecture and working with containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes). Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform)
  • Solid understanding of software security, performance optimization, and scalability in cloud environments
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • NICE TO HAVES

  • Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks/platforms (e.g., Spark, Flink, Daft, Databricks)
  • Experience with statistical methods and data analysis tools
  • Experience building experimentation platforms or working with A/B testing frameworks
  • Experience with data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka)
