Accountabilities
Lead consistent 1-on-1s with direct reports focused on growth, wellbeing, and performance.Manage the full performance cycle — goal setting, ongoing feedback, and formal reviews.Mentor and develop data scientists and engineers of varying skill levels.Foster a collaborative, high-trust team environment where innovation thrives.Monitor team engagement, taking proactive steps to address issues.Drive team growth through strategic hiring and onboarding.Guide the development and delivery of machine learning models and AI-powered solutions.Promote best practices in data science, including model quality and responsible AI.
Requirements
5+ years of experience managing data science or analytics teams with a strong focus on people development.Hands-on background in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics.Strong technical foundation in Python, SQL, and relevant DS/ML frameworks.Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).Familiarity with Agile practices and data engineering workflows.Outstanding communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.Genuine commitment to growing the people around you.Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; experience is the most relevant factor.Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
