Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Integration Team, responsible for building, maintaining, and operating the services, APIs, and event-driven systems that connect our platform with internal services and external partners.

We’re seeking someone passionate about innovative technology, continuous learning, and ownership.

This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year. Please note that this is a hybrid position, with 3 days in our Krakow office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • Lead a Scrum team of backend developers
  • Grow your team’s technical expertise in quality, scalability, performance, and reliability using a modern technology stack (Go, Python)
  • Support engineers in their career development through 1:1 meetings, goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews. Provide technical mentorship and guidance
  • Promote a strong culture of ownership, accountability, and enablement
  • Drive continuous improvement within a fast-growing engineering organization
  • Collaborate with Product Management to define and execute the team roadmap
  • Work with product and technical leadership to develop a technical architecture roadmap aligned with the feature roadmap
  • Ensure timely delivery of features within a broader product development organization. Identify and manage dependencies and risks
  • Partner with Engineering Leadership and Project Management to deliver cross-team initiatives
  • Collaborate with the recruiting team to hire and build high-performing engineering teams
  • Provide production system support, ensuring high availability, incident response, and rapid resolution for critical issues (24/7 support context)

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • Experience leading individuals and/or engineering teams as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • Experience developing and mentoring software engineers
  • Strong project management skills using Agile methodologies, including building delivery schedules and leading estimation efforts
  • Deep understanding of engineering processes and best practices
  • Experience in hiring and onboarding engineers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English

Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with modern airline retailing technologies and standards
  • Experience with integration patterns 
  • Domain expertise in aviation
  • Hands-on experience with production system monitoring, incident management, and high-availability systems
  • Customer-facing roles experience
