We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead and grow high-performing software engineering teams in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. This role involves guiding teams through the design, development, and delivery of scalable, reliable SaaS products while driving technical excellence and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to influence architecture, define best practices, and ensure the quality of product execution. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills, mentoring engineers, fostering innovation, and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Accountabilities:

  • Manage and mentor engineering teams, fostering technical growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Drive architecture, development best practices, and product quality across multiple projects.
  • Partner with product and business leaders to define and execute on strategic initiatives and product roadmaps.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timely completion of high-impact engineering projects.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts to build a diverse and effective engineering organization.
  • Provide technical oversight, guidance, and support to cross-functional teams, including software and quality engineers.
  • Promote continuous improvement in engineering processes, tooling, and delivery methodologies.
  • Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience leading software engineering teams in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • 12+ years of professional experience as a software engineer in any industry or tech stack.
  • Proven ability to manage teams of 8+ engineers, including performance management and career development.
  • Hands-on experience with agile development methodologies and SaaS product ownership.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, reliability best practices, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams in a remote-first environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in hiring, growing, and retaining high-performing engineering talent.
  • Bonus: Experience with Golang, C++, Python, Java, OS libraries, or MacOS/Windows native development.
