As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a fullstack development team responsible for creating and scaling innovative experiences that drive user engagement and growth. You will oversee the technical and operational aspects of your team, guiding development, ensuring high-quality feature delivery, and fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement. This role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration while integrating AI-driven tools to accelerate workflows and optimize productivity. You will influence technical vision, manage Agile processes, and align engineering efforts with broader business objectives, all within a remote-first, fast-paced environment. Success in this position requires balancing hands-on technical insight with strong people management skills to maximize team performance and development.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead a fullstack engineering squad (Web, iOS, Backend) in the design, development, and maintenance of user-facing features and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to engineers while fostering professional growth.
  • Oversee Agile processes, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and delivery management.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, technical design, and functional specifications.
  • Drive experimentation and optimization using data analytics, A/B testing, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Collaborate on hiring, performance management, promotions, and retention strategies to build a high-performing team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering practices, reduce technical debt, and increase efficiency through AI adoption and process enhancements.
  • Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering management role with proven leadership, coaching, and performance management of developers.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with deep expertise in at least one stack (Backend, Web, or iOS) and working knowledge across others.
  • Proven experience managing fullstack teams, delivering high-visibility features, and shipping rapid, continuous releases.
  • Strong technical skills with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Docker, CI/CD processes, and building scalable APIs.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled workflows to improve team productivity, code quality, and development velocity.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with experience tracking project delivery, managing timelines, and reducing technical debt.
  • Nice to have: AI-powered product development experience, knowledge of onboarding flows, creator growth metrics, or analytics reporting.
