This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager, Trust Platform in the United States.
As an Engineering Manager on the Trust Platform team, you will lead a high-performing group of engineers responsible for building scalable systems that detect and mitigate risk at enterprise scale. You will define technical strategy, guide platform architecture, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable infrastructure that underpins fraud prevention and operational policies. This role offers the opportunity to influence cross-functional initiatives, collaborate with product, data science, and operations teams, and drive innovation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will mentor and grow engineering talent, optimize processes, and lead complex projects with multiple dependencies. This position is fully remote, providing flexibility while engaging with a global team committed to operational excellence and platform reliability. You will help shape the long-term vision for the Trust Platform, driving both technological and organizational impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the technical direction and strategic roadmap for the trust platform, ensuring scalable and robust infrastructure to detect and mitigate fraud.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Trust, Payments, and Community Support to align priorities and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Plan, track, and report on team progress, proactively identifying risks and resolving challenges.
  • Oversee system design and architecture decisions, evaluating trade-offs and ensuring operational resilience.
  • Enable non-engineering teams to operationalize policies and deploy defenses efficiently through platform features.
  • Drive adoption of best practices for coding, testing, and production reliability.
  • Participate in hiring, retention, and career development initiatives to build a world-class engineering team.
  • Requirements:
  • 9+ years of industry experience with at least 3 years in people management, including managing technical leads.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Java; familiarity with Scala is a plus.
  • Deep experience in the trust, risk, or security domain.
  • Proven ability to lead platform architecture initiatives and deliver large-scale, high-throughput systems.
  • Track record of mentoring and retaining senior engineers, building productive and high-performing teams.
  • Experience working with senior leadership to set strategic direction and create alignment across multiple teams.
  • Skilled in systems design, knowledge graphs, and infrastructure development; GraphML experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.
  • Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary: $204,000–$255,000 USD.
