WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

Box Hubs is our content curation platform that helps enterprises create tailored, governed experiences on top of Box. We’re investing in the next wave of capabilities—including deepened AI-first use cases and advanced access controls—to deliver even more value.

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Hubs Frontend team. You’ll guide a high-tenure group of engineers, partner closely with Product, and drive operational rigor across multiple initiatives. If you’re passionate about building elegant, high-impact user experiences as part of an epic team, this is your opportunity to lead at scale.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of frontend / fullstack engineers delivering delightful, performant Hubs experiences.

  • Drive operational excellence: forecast and plan, set goals, run effective ceremonies, and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.

  • Partner with Product and Design to scope, prioritize, and ship features that move adoption and retention metrics.

  • Collaborate with dependent teams across the organization to deliver end-to-end functionality.

  • Establish and use analytics to inform prioritization and measure impact post-launch.

  • Foster a culture of curiosity and experimentation, including responsible exploration of AI in the frontend.

  • Raise the bar on code quality, accessibility, performance, and reliability.

  • Support hiring and onboarding to continue building a diverse, inclusive, high-performing team.

  • Manage and coordinate the team’s on-call rotation to ensure timely and effective incident response, actively participate in escalated on-call incidents to provide leadership and support, and drive improvements by addressing recurring issues to minimize disruptions.

WHO YOU ARE

We are an AI-first company. This means you approach your work with a growth mindset and find ways to leverage AI to help make faster, smarter decisions that will 10X your impact at Box.

  • 2+ years managing frontend or full-stack engineering teams building complex, user-facing products; prior experience as a senior/staff frontend engineer is a plus.

  • Deep experience with modern React and frontend engineering practices; exposure to React Native is a plus.

  • Proven track record of operational rigor (planning, execution, quality) and delivering predictably across multiple workstreams.

  • Strong product partnership skills with a history of using analytics to prioritize and validate outcomes.

  • Curiosity and awareness of AI technologies and how they can enhance how we build product experiences; hands-on experimentation a plus.

  • Excellent people leadership: coaching, feedback, inclusion, and career development.

  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional partners and services teams (e.g., full-stack, Java-based services).

  • Clear, empathetic communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
