The Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to collaborate with Researchers and ML Engineers to produce AI applications and solutions based on next gen AI research. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with development teams and product managers to implement innovative software solutions based on requirements from internal and external stakeholders.Able to develop entire architecture, responsive design, user interaction, and user experience.Design client-side and server-side architectureAble to develop entire architecture, responsive design, user interaction, and user experience.Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiencyTroubleshoot, debug and upgrade softwareCreate security and data protection settingsWrite technical documentationWork with researchers, data scientists and analysts to improve softwareKeep track of new development-related tools, frameworks, methods, and architectures. Contribute to research publications and represent MBZUAI at industry conferences and events, showcasing the institution’s cutting-edge HPC and deep learning capabilities and establishing MBZUAI as a global leader in AI research and innovation.Contribute to the development of intellectual property and thought leadership in the field of high-performance computing for deep learningPerform all other duties as reasonably directed by the line manager that are commensurate with these functional objectives.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Computer Science or relevant field requiredMaster’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or relevant field preferred
Professional Experience
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar roleExperience working with AI algorithms and the ability to develop systems accommodating AI related requirementsExperience developing desktop and mobile applicationsFamiliarity with common stacksFamiliarity with AJAX, GitHub & GitKnowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js/NPM)Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX designExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address complex technical challenges.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams.
