We are seeking an experienced and skilled Backend Java Engineer to join our Global Payment Card, Fiat team. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Java technologies. You will play a key role in designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance payment solutions. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for global payment card products using JavaLead integration efforts with payment channel partners and third-party payment platformsBuild robust, scalable, and secure backend systems to support high-volume payment transactionsExplore and implement Web3 and AI technologies to enhance payment processing and securityConduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure best practices in software developmentCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, security, and operations to deliver end-to-end solutionsOptimize system performance, reliability, and scalability in a production environment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experienceApproximately 5 years of professional experience in backend development with JavaStrong expertise in Java and backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, RESTful APIs)Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and microservices architectureProven experience integrating payment gateways or third-party payment APIs is highly desirableKnowledge of payment industry standards, security protocols, and compliance requirementsInterest or experience in Web3 and AI technologies is a plusExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaborativelyStrong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
