Join the power movement as Project Engineering Manager
Leading a team responsible for activities relating to design and construction engineering across all disciplines. Duties include working with engineering teams in the planning, sequencing, assembling, and issuing of construction Work Packages; development of installation specifications, 3D model coordination, interpreting design drawings and specifications, field verification of materials, monitoring construction progress, response to questions by constructors, providing direction in the field to ensure construction is in compliance with engineering documentation and developing handover packages to commissioning.
What you'll do:
Direct technical oversight of construction contractors for all CFS systemsOwn construction change management systemReport weekly construction progress and issues to project managersDevelop and maintain standards for construction work packages, specifications, and all other construction documentation across one or multiple projectsInterface with System Responsible Officers to maintain quality, schedule and budget for developing and executing engineered systemsCoordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues relating to plant systemsIdentify the content of engineering document packages (Work Packages) required to support construction activities in the fieldPlan, sequence, assemble, and issue construction Work PackagesEstablish strong working relationships with the engineering teams responsible for the various process systems to facilitate conversion of engineering/design to physical plantOversee the maintenance of construction configuration managementTrack, report, and forecast activities in the fieldCoordinate with the Procurement Organization for field procured materials, material substitution, services, and equipmentReview material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materialsCoordinate the preparation of cost reports, forecasts, and progress reportsCoordinate with Field Supervision and Subcontractors to plan/support construction schedulesRecommend and implement procedures to ensure construction remains in compliance with the requirements of engineering and designEnsure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials, and equipmentSupport the construction quality programSupport problem solving in the field and serve as liaison between Construction and EngineeringSupport development and implementation of the Request for Information (RFI) process between Construction and CFS engineeringDevelop turnover packages in accordance with defined system / sub-system breakdownTrack pending issues and actions impacting system turnoverCoordinate and facilitate system walkdownsReview field generated inspection records for quality and completenessReview field generated punch list items for quality and completeness and progress in project
What we’re looking for:
BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or other engineering disciplineMinimum 10 years in industrial plant design and construction environmentKnowledge of the process to engineer, design and construct complex industrial projectsFamiliar with construction change managementExperience using 3D modelKnowledge of heavy industrial codes and standardsGood knowledge base across all construction disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & Controls)Excellent communication skills
Bonus points for:
Experience leading a team of project or field engineers for large industrial construction projectsCertification in engineering management or construction management
