About the Role
DexCare is looking for a software developer in Test. Within this role, you’ll be focused on understanding how our customers use the platform, and you will be dedicated to extending and contributing to the automation framework as well as creating, maintaining, and executing automated test case validation of existing and new scenarios. You should have a keen eye and the ability to contribute to creating test plans and test cases, and execute ways to break and validate software using software.
What You’ll Do:
Works within the engineering organization to determine a testing strategy for each feature they are working on. This includes documenting and creating test plans and the associated automated functional and integrated test cases for each feature's acceptance criteria.
Must be able to contribute to and extend the current automation framework as needed.
Must be proficient in coding in TypeScript, JavaScript, or other relevant web languages and technologies.
Understands GitHub, Git Actions, and source code repository capabilities specifically around CI/CD.
Works closely within an engineering team to accomplish the testing capabilities.
Executes, communicates test results, and maintains test cases.
Gray and White box testing is a must.
Does code reviews and participates in architectural design reviews.
Participates in on-call rotation
What You’ll Bring:
BS in Computer Science degree or relevant work experience
3-5 Years of relevant hands-on quality assurance and SDET work experience
Has worked on and contributed to an automation framework as well as scripting technologies to automate API and UI test cases
Creates relevant test plans and creates, implements, and executes test cases per project basis
Reviews the results with the engineering team and determines why there are failures. Root Cause Analysis capabilities
Reports and tracks issues in JIRA and reports to the team on an ongoing basis
Must be accomplished in white box testing
Must be familiar with Kanban, Agile, Scrum methodologies as well as tools like Atlassian, Slack, DataDog, etc for troubleshooting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skillset with a proven record of solving complicated problems and issues
Experience testing agentic AI systems, including validating multi-step AI workflows, tool use integrations, and non-deterministic outputs from large language models in production environments
Experience using Claude Code for AI-assisted development, including leveraging agentic workflows to accelerate test authoring, framework development, and code reviews
Preferred Experience:
Whitebox testing and automation are a must
Proficient in coding, creating automation frameworks, and supporting the engineering organization from a testing perspective
Works with minimal supervision
