This is a full-time remote opportunity for a Senior Backend Developer with Python expertise. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend software solutions with Python to support SoundStack’s digital audio platforms. As a member of the development team, the Senior Backend Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, write clean and efficient code, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance to ensure scalability and reliability.
What You’ll Do
Define, architect and develop scalable, fault-tolerant servicesTake ownership of software components and associated development and testing in terms of timelines and qualityRecommend system solutions by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of available alternative pathsAssist in scope definition, planning, estimation and trackingSupport users by developing documentation and assistance toolsWork with developers, and chief architect during implementation to assure any difficulties are properly addressed and design is followed accordinglySupport DevOps team with pipeline design and approachIdentify risks and work closely with the PM to develop plans, in order to avoid/mitigate them
What You’ll Need
Expertise in Back-End Web Development, Programming, and Software DevelopmentProficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and experience with Python (having experience with Go is a plus)Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structuresExperience with cloud infrastructure and deployment tools is a plusAbility to work independently in a remote team environment with excellent problem-solving skillsPrior experience in building and maintaining scalable and efficient backend systemsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experienceAbility to understand complex projects and produce detailed architectural designsGood command of the English language, both orally and written
