About the role
At ShopBack, our Engineering teams build scalable and operable platforms that power eCommerce traffic across the region and deliver world-class shopping experiences. You will join our AI Product Squad, a fast-moving team building next-generation AI agents, intelligent shopping assistants, and AI-driven discovery products used across multiple markets.
We are looking for engineers who are passionate about applying Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic workflows to solve real-world problems at scale.
Your Adventure Ahead
Build and scale AI-powered backend services supporting LLM search, recommendations, and agent workflows.Design high-quality, low-latency APIs and orchestration pipelines for AI products across ShopBack platforms.Develop and optimize RAG pipelines, vector search, and data integrations powering intelligent shopping experiences.Collaborate with Product, Data, and ML teams to shape and deliver new AI features end-to-end.Drive engineering best practices and mentor others in building reliable, observable, and cost-efficient AI systems.
Essentials to Succeed
5+ years of experience building consumer-facing web applications or backend systems.Proven experience shipping AI, LLM, or agent-based systems (RAG, vector DBs, orchestration flows, or LLM APIs).Hands-on experience with Node.js / Typescript (preferred) or Java, Kotlin, Python.Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.Strong understanding of system design, scalability patterns, API design, and low-latency backend architectures.Practical experience using Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Cursor, or LangChain.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, experimental environment with high ownership and adaptability.
