Senior Backend Engineer (Perp DEX)

We are representing a leading force in the decentralized exchange (DEX) space, specifically operating within the high-performance Solana ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ultra-low latency, high-throughput backend services and off-chain infrastructure to support real-time trading and order matching.
- Analyze and refine engine latency and throughput to ensure top-of-block execution for mission-critical trading bots and settlement services.
- Spearhead the technical design of greenfield projects, utilizing modern best practices to build resilient, distributed systems.
- Implement robust monitoring, observability, and automation tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure 24/7 uptime in a high-stakes environment.
- Partner closely with quant researchers, smart contract engineers, and product managers to translate complex trading requirements into scalable software solutions.
- Drive high engineering standards through rigorous code reviews, documentation, and mentoring junior members of the engineering team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, specifically focused on high-performance distributed systems; at least 1-2 years of experience in Smart Contract development.
- Deep expertise in Rust or Go (or strong experience in Java/C++ with a willingness to master Rust).
- Proven track record building or maintaining electronic trading systems, order management systems, or exchange infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of multithreading, memory management, and performance tuning for low-latency environments.
- Proficient with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), message brokers (Kafka, Redis), and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Familiarity with blockchain concepts, though direct Solana experience is a plus, a passion for decentralized finance is essential.
- Understanding of perpetual futures, margin trading, and complex derivatives products is nice to have.
- Fluency in English is required.
