- Design, develop, and optimize backend systems and services
- Architect and maintain database solutions that meet performance and reliability requirements
- Implement efficient network communications and API endpoints
- Collaborate with frontend developers, ensuring seamless integration between systems
- Apply CS fundamentals to solve complex technical challenges
- Contribute to technical decision-making and architectural discussions
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
- 5+ years professional software development experience with a strong focus on backend systems
- Computer Science Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, system design, and software architecture principles
- Database Proficiency: Deep understanding of database systems, query optimization, schema design, and data modeling
- Network Knowledge: Solid grasp of network protocols, API design, and secure communication implementations
- Full-Stack Understanding: Familiarity with modern web architecture, frontend technologies, and how components interact across the stack
- Proven ability to design and build scalable, maintainable systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing and maintaining production Python applications
- Experience with distributed systems design
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools
- Background in performance optimization and systems scalability
- History of contributions to significant technical projects
