Outsight

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Outsight • FR
Hybrid/Remote
Outsight’s software solutions track the motion of people and vehicles using 3D LiDAR data. Operators of transportation hubs like airports and train stations but also sport venues, road infrastructures and industrial sites can now access accurate and anonymous Spatial Intelligence data, in order to improve operations and increase user safety and satisfaction.

Our international team of scientists and engineers drive the development of our solutions from Paris, San Francisco, Sophia-Antipolis (Nice) & Hong Kong. To support our global outreach, we also operate a commercial office in Spain. You can find below an interesting link about who we are and what we do: Insights about Outsight.

Our Passenger Flow Traffic Monitoring solution is trusted by the world’s leading airports and train stations across 4 continents. Additionally, our Car Traffic Remote Monitoring product is trusted by several Tier 1 customers, including BMW.

Context

We're looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platform engineering team and contribute to the development of our Shift cloud platform infrastructure-as-code on a multi-tenant, multi-region strategy. This role is responsible for the foundational AWS and Kubernetes environment, focusing on automation, resilience, and operational security.

Responsibilities

Automate all infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

Design and provision the multi-tenant infrastructure on AWS, focusing on the separation of the Control and Tenant planes.

Manage the Kubernetes clusters (EKS) for platform services, leveraging Karpenter for policy-driven cluster autoscaling.

Establish operational security and reliability primitives (network, application) for all core platform services.

Optimize service performance, cost, and reliability of core data infrastructure (S3, Cloud Data Platform environments).

Implement baseline infrastructure setup and disaster recovery bootstrapping for new dedicated AWS accounts.

Requirements for the role

AWS: 3+ years experience with core AWS services, networking, and security. Deep knowledge of IAM, S3, and multi-account structure implementation.

Containerization & Orchestration: Proven experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and implementing cluster autoscaling solutions like Karpenter.

Automation & IaC: Proven ability to automate complex provisioning, lifecycle, and operational workflows (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ScalR.io, ArgoCD, Helm).

Disaster Recovery: Practical experience designing and implementing infrastructure for low RPO/RTO strategies.

Platform Security: Demonstrated ability to secure network and application layers, particularly in a public cloud and microservices environment.

Why join us?

Be part of the team pioneering Spatial Intelligence solutions at unprecedented scale—the breakthrough technology transforming how the world’s most prestigious airports, infrastructure operators, and smart cities understand and optimize physical flows.
