This is a high-impact, technically sophisticated role for an experienced cloud engineer passionate about building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native platforms and CI/CD pipelines that support distributed engineering teams across multiple regions. The role involves leveraging infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, and observability tools to enhance platform reliability, security, and developer experience. You will lead migrations, optimize cloud resources, and implement GitOps principles while mentoring peers and promoting operational excellence. This position offers the opportunity to influence cloud strategy, work with modern AWS services, and contribute to the success of a large, globally distributed engineering organization.
Accountabilities:
Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, and legacy CloudFormation/CDK frameworksManage containerized workloads and orchestrate services on EKS, ECS, and other AWS servicesLead the migration of legacy pipelines to modern CI/CD solutions, utilizing GitHub Actions and ArgoCDImplement and maintain observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog or CloudWatchPromote GitOps principles and infrastructure-as-code practices across engineering teamsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture strategy and operational best practicesDocument designs, processes, and decisions, while mentoring peers and supporting knowledge sharing
Requirements:
5+ years experience managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, and CDK4+ years orchestrating containerized workloads at scale using Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, and associated tools (ArgoCD, Istio)4+ years managing CI/CD frameworks in distributed engineering organizations using GitHub ActionsStrong programming skills in Python, Node.js, or GoLangProven ability to design cost-efficient, secure, and scalable cloud solutions leveraging AWS services (EC2, Lambda, Fargate, CloudFront, IAM, Route53, DynamoDB)Experience configuring and managing observability platforms in large-scale distributed environmentsKnowledge of incident response practices, resilience engineering, and blameless post-mortemsStrong communication, documentation, and mentorship skills; ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
