This role offers the opportunity to lead the development of a next-generation data layer designed for Agentic AI, shaping the architecture that powers advanced AI agents across structured, unstructured, and relational data. The Senior Data Engineer will define high-performance schemas, optimize hybrid database environments, and act as a strategic technical liaison with clients. This position combines deep technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, enabling both innovation in data engineering and alignment with business objectives. You will oversee data governance, performance, and scalability while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Accountabilities:
Design and implement end-to-end data architecture integrating structured, unstructured, and relational (Graph) data for AI applications.Define multi-tenant schemas and knowledge graph ontologies to enable AI agents to perform complex reasoning and cross-domain queries.Oversee database administration, performance optimization, and security for hybrid environments including Snowflake, Kinetica, and NoSQL databases.Act as a technical liaison for clients, leading discovery workshops, managing expectations, and aligning architectural roadmaps with business objectives.Establish benchmarks for data latency and retrieval accuracy to ensure AI systems meet real-time operational requirements.Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and AI orchestration frameworks.Promote best practices in schema design, database governance, and AI-focused data layer implementation.Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience designing and managing hybrid database environments (Snowflake, Kinetica, NoSQL).Expertise in knowledge graphs, property graph/RDF schemas, and semantic modeling for AI applications.Strong understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, data orchestration (streaming, CDC, batch), and database internals (partitioning, indexing, scaling).Experience building API-first data layers and designing secure, multi-tenant architectures.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with experience collaborating directly with clients.Experience in AI/ML platforms and familiarity with agentic or LLM-based workflows preferred.Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and manage complex technical projects.Benefits:
