We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain enterprise-scale data platforms supporting mission-critical financial systems. This role focuses on SQL Server environments, cloud-native infrastructure, and AI-enabled development to deliver high-performance data solutions for analytics, trading, and operational workflows. You will architect scalable data pipelines, integrate APIs, and implement advanced security and availability strategies while collaborating across engineering, product, and operations teams. Accountabilities:
Lead the design, optimization, and administration of SQL Server environments, including HA/DR strategies, replication, and performance tuning.Implement enterprise-grade database security, including TDE, Row-Level Security, and RBAC governance controls.Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations using Python, SQLAlchemy, Pandas, and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow.Manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/CDK), supporting serverless and microservice architectures.Develop RESTful APIs to facilitate data exchange and platform interoperability.Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows and optimize data solutions for AI/ML workloads.Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.Requirements:
5+ years of software development experience, with 4+ years of deep SQL Server expertise.Expert knowledge of OLTP/OLAP systems, ETL/ELT patterns, and enterprise database architecture.Strong proficiency in Python with solid OOP principles and experience with orchestration tools (Airflow preferred).Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DataOps best practices.Proficient with Git-based workflows and automated testing (unit and integration).Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK).Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira.Interest in AI-driven engineering practices and cloud-native database strategies.Benefits:
