You will join the Data Warehouse and Operational Reporting squad, the central hub for data and analytics in our new digital bank. You will be responsible for building a modern data platform and providing the business with the insights it needs to succeed. You will design and implement our S3-based data model and build the data pipelines that feed our reporting and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain our data warehouse and operational reporting platform on AWS.Develop and maintain data pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources including ThoughtMachine Vault.Build and maintain data models ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and build reports and dashboards.Ensure data platform compliance with data privacy regulations, including PCI DSS.Implement data quality monitoring and alerting.Produce the S3 data model for downstream analytics consumption.Collaborate with other squads to ensure data integration requirements are met.
Requirements - Experience & Domain Knowledge:
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.Proven experience in FinTech, Banking, or a related financial domain is highly desirable.Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.Experience working in an agile environment.Disciplined approach to following standards and documentation/evidence.
Requirements - Technical Skills:
AWS Certification: AWS Developer Associate (required).Data Platforms: Experience with AWS data services (Snowflake, S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift).ETL/ELT: Proficiency with data pipeline tools (Airflow, dbt, Spark).SQL: Expert knowledge of SQL and data modeling.Programming: Strong Python skills for data engineering.Compliance: Understanding of PCI DSS requirements for data handling.
Nice to have:
Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.Experience using AI design/code/test tooling to support.Knowledge of real-time data streaming (Kafka, Kinesis).Experience with BI tools (Snowflake, Tableau, Looker, Power BI).Understanding of banking data models and regulatory reporting.
