About the Role:

We’re building the most efficient platform for operating funds and investing in startups. Our Platform team is small, fast-moving, and foundational to every product we build. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll elevate how we architect and scale the infrastructure that support billions in venture assets.

We’re looking for someone who will design modern, resilient systems and help shape the future of infrastructure at AngelList. You’ll work closely with product engineering teams, ensuring they can ship quickly, securely, and confidently.

This role is right for someone who gets energy from enabling others. You'll be working directly on our Kubernetes production environments, improving our CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring we maintain high standards for observability, reliability, and efficiency. We're not just supporting developers—we're raising the bar for the platform they build on.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Architect and operate our production environments, including Kubernetes (K8s) clusters and RDS-backed databases on AWS.
  • Design, implement, and manage modern CI/CD pipelines that empower fast, safe deployments across teams.
  • Build infrastructure automation using Terraform, Pulumi, and ArgoCD to improve system reliability and repeatability.
  • Elevate developer experience through tooling and workflow improvements.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, triage incidents, and drive root cause analysis following modern SRE best practices.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership on infrastructure direction and roadmap planning.
  • You are most likely:

  • An experienced software engineer with strong programming skills (with Ruby experience highly valued).
  • Deeply experienced operating Kubernetes in production environment (this is a hard requirement).
  • Fluent with PostgreSQL and MySQL in production, including deploying on AWS RDS.
  • Holding a track record of designing and scaling CI/CD systems with modern tooling.
  • Proficient in infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, ArgoCD).
  • Comfortable working across AWS and GCP services in a production context.
  • Product-minded—you're accustomed to making decisions that balance performance, reliability, and speed.
  • Leading complex technical initiatives that enable rapid iteration across engineering teams.
  • How Success Will Be Measured

  • Improved optimization of our production environments.
  • CI/CD reliability and lead time to production improves across all engineering teams.
  • Developer satisfaction with platform tools and workflows increases over time.
