We are looking for a seasoned Systems Engineering leader to manage the Autonomy Hardware Systems organization. You will lead a functional organization divided into two core pillars: System Design & Analysis and Verification & Validation (V&V).In this role, you will focus on the comprehensive system architecture and integration of our autonomy hardware. You will own the engineering V-model, ensuring a seamless flow from system requirements down to subsystem and component requirements. Your teams will be responsible for system validation and ensuring that changes in hardware/firmware are managed across the company and rigorously traced back to requirements.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with Systems Engineering Toolchains: Proficient in requirements management and traceability tools (e.g., JAMA, DOORS, Polarion).
  • Lead System Architecture & Integration: Strong technical understanding of integrating complex compute platforms, high-speed networking (Automotive Ethernet), and multi-modal sensor suites.
  • Manage VnV Lifecycle Management: Ability to own the outcome of the system, ensuring comprehensive test coverage from component to system level. Experience executing sensor test frameworks that incorporate metrics from downstream SW algorithms.
  • Work in Cross-Functional Leadership: Exceptional skill in navigating matrixed environments, distinguishing between component, subsystem, and system responsibilities, and driving consensus across HW, SW, and Safety teams.
  • Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Hardware Systems Engineering within complex, safety-critical industries (Automotive, Robotics, Aerospace).
  • 5+ years of people management experience, specifically managing other managers or team leads.
  • Demonstrated success in defining and executing the Systems Engineering V-Model, with a track record of connecting high-level product requirements to concrete engineering specifications.
  • Experience managing system validation strategies, system integration testing, and closing the loop on field/test regressions.
  • Proven ability to create and organize engineering workflows to drive organizational clarity.
  • Bonus Qualifications

  • Simulation & Modeling: Exposure to 3D simulation environments and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) workflows.
  • Functional Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 26262 and SOTIF standards.
  • Automotive Testing Methodologies: Familiarity with automotive test standards.
