Senior Manual QA Engineer, Native Mobile

This role sits at the core of ensuring exceptional quality across native mobile applications used by large-scale consumer platforms. You will be responsible for validating complex mobile user journeys, from installation through in-app interactions, across both iOS and Android environments. The position requires a strong mix of technical QA expertise, mobile debugging skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with product and engineering teams in an agile setting. You will contribute directly to improving release quality by identifying risks early, designing robust test strategies, and ensuring smooth production rollouts. Working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, you will help shape quality standards across multiple mobile projects. This is a highly impactful role where attention to detail and strong communication directly influence end-user experience.
Accountabilities:
- Design, plan, and execute comprehensive test strategies for native iOS and Android applications
- Validate complex end-to-end mobile user flows, including onboarding, in-app experiences, and transactions
- Identify, document, and track software defects throughout their lifecycle using QA and bug tracking systems
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to improve requirement clarity and test coverage
- Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities within agile sprint cycles
- Create and maintain detailed QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test checklists
- Perform risk analysis and proactively communicate quality concerns to stakeholders
- Support release validation and ensure stability across multiple devices, OS versions, and environments
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in a fully remote setup to ensure alignment and delivery quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 2+ years of experience coding in languages such as Swift, Kotlin, or C#, with strong OOP knowledge
- Proven experience testing native iOS and Android applications at scale
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and mobile application architectures
- Hands-on experience with mobile debugging tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, TestFlight, Charles Proxy, and Firebase
- Familiarity with mobile automation frameworks like Espresso and XCTest
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with sprint-based delivery cycles
- Ability to design detailed test cases covering full mobile user journeys under different network and device conditions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams
- Nice to have: experience using AI tools to enhance QA workflows such as test generation or defect analysis
- Nice to have: experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
