About the role
As a Senior Rust Software Engineer, this is a technically challenging, high-impact role for an experienced engineer who enjoys tackling bleeding-edge problems alongside other bright minds. You will have a significant influence on platform architecture and guide important technical and design decisions.
The team is unifying deterministic computation and performance to build a proof-generating virtual machine capable of running standard RISC-V Linux programs. This enables verifiable execution—ensuring that code runs exactly according to defined semantics, regardless of where it is executed.
You will work at the intersection of systems programming, performance engineering, and cryptographic verification, contributing to foundational infrastructure used across the Web3 ecosystem. Day-to-day activities include performance optimisation, designing commitment and proof schemes, low-level systems work, and building SDKs and tooling for other developers.
You’ll join a team deeply embedded in blockchain and Web3 infrastructure, supporting decentralised applications, developer tooling, and platforms across areas such as DeFi, gaming, and digital culture. The work is built on an open-source blockchain known for its flexibility, security, and self-evolving capabilities, including Etherlink, an EVM-compatible Layer 2 that is rapidly scaling its developer ecosystem.
