The Senior Software Engineer will work on backend services, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems, collaborating closely with AI, mobile, and clinical operations teams. You will have ownership over technical architecture, end-to-end project delivery, and system performance optimization, ensuring the platform is efficient, reliable, and scalable. Accountabilities:
Design, develop, and scale backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI) and Java (Spring Boot).Architect and implement AI agents, including prompt engineering, evaluation, and continuous improvement workflows.Build event-driven systems and internal APIs to enable reliable, real-time communication across services.Drive technical architecture decisions in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.Own projects end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and safe feature releases.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance to support high throughput and growth.Partner closely with Product, Design, DevOps, and AI/ML teams to align technical execution with product goals.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field (Master’s preferred).5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or full-stack development.Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java, with hands-on experience in microservices using FastAPI or Spring Boot.Deep understanding of API design (REST), authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT), and data modeling.Experience designing event-driven systems and distributed architectures.Practical experience with AI systems, including prompt engineering or AI service integration.Strong debugging, performance optimization, and production support skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus; prior AI-native product experience is advantageous.Benefits:
