We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the development of data- and AI-enabled platforms in a regulated healthcare environment.
This role focuses on building backend services, integrating with modern data platforms, and enabling AI- and LLM-driven capabilities that support analytics, automation, and decision-making.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable working across the backend, data, and UI layers, and experienced in building scalable, secure solutions on modern data platforms such as Databricks.
Responsibilities
Design and develop backend services and APIs using Python to support data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and AI workflowsIntegrate applications with Databricks, Delta Lake, and cloud-native data servicesSupport batch and streaming data pipelines, including orchestration, monitoring, and reliabilityImplement secure, scalable access patterns for curated healthcare data in alignment with payer data governance and compliance requirementsDesign and integrate solutions that leverage Large Language Models for data exploration, summarization, workflow automation, and decision supportPartner with data science and platform teams to operationalize ML- and LLM-driven capabilities in production environmentsContribute to modern web user interfaces that surface data, analytics, and AI-driven insightsApply modern UI design principles to ensure usability, accessibility, and clarity for technical and business usersIntegrate frontend components with backend APIs and servicesCollaborate with data architects, platform engineers, designers, and product owners to deliver end-to-end solutionsParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussionsContribute to agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iterative delivery
Required Experience
5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software developmentStrong hands-on experience developing backend services using Python in production environmentsExperience working with data platforms, analytics systems, or large-scale data processing solutionsPractical experience integrating or leveraging Large Language Models in applications or workflowsSolid understanding of modern UI design principles and frontend development conceptsExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous systemsFamiliarity with cloud-native architectures and security best practicesExperience operating in regulated environments, with attention to data privacy and complianceHands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, or Spark-based platforms
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting healthcare payer data domains (claims, enrollment, providers, quality reporting)Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or similarUnderstanding of healthcare data regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA)Experience working in cross-functional teams across data engineering, analytics, and product delivery
