We are seeking motivated software engineers to work on our interdisciplinary scrum teams, building large scale systems at Prosper Marketplace. This Full Stack role is roughly 70% backend 30% frontend.
This role is a HYBRID opportunity, based two-days a week (Wednesday & Thursday), from either our San Francisco or Phoenix offices.
Problems You Will Solve
Design and construct highly scalable, resilient, cloud-native, microservices-based distributed architecture systems.Develop, maintain, and enhance essential backend and frontend software componentsCollaborate with cross-functional product and analytics teams to guide or actively contribute to significant strategic initiatives, while also addressing ongoing operational challenges at scaleApply engineering expertise within a business framework to generate substantial business value, approaching problems with an operational perspectiveProactively pinpoint gaps, challenges, and requirements within our systems and processes, formulating and implementing robust solutions independentlyFacilitate the migration of existing on-premises services to cutting-edge cloud technologiesCollaborate with a team of dedicated, intelligent, and ambitious engineers committed to building large-scale systems at Prosper MarketplaceContribute to shaping and nurturing our company’s engineering culture, promoting continuous learning and fostering innovation
All About You
BS in EE/CS with 8+ years of experience or MS in EE/CS or other applicable disciplines with 6+ years of experience Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, object-oriented programming, and distributed systems architectureProficient in designing and building RESTful services and event-driven systemsExpertise in Authentication and Authorization solutionsHands-on expertise with Java and experience working with both relational and non-relational databases, such as Firestore, Redis, and MemoryStoreDemonstrated proficiency in leveraging cloud-native architecture and cloud services, particularly in implementing Cloud Functions and architecting Data Flows within GCP or AWS environmentsProficiency in utilizing tools such as Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, and JMSFundamental knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript & GraphQLProficiency in object-oriented languages such as JavaPreferred experience in React Native or React, and Event Driven Architecture
