As a Senior Software Engineer on the AI team, you will play a key role in building and scaling the systems that power WHOOP AI’s internal and member-facing experiences. You will work across the stack to deliver high-quality features, contribute to agent orchestration system architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to create seamless and impactful user experiences. This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about building reliable, scalable applications and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in a cross-functional team alongside product managers, designers, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end features
Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end systems using modern frameworks and cloud technologies
Design and build intuitive user interfaces and integrate them with robust backend APIs to deliver seamless member experiences
Contribute to feature ideation, technical design, and implementation, translating business requirements into scalable solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following best practices for performance, security, and reliability
Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues while continuously improving system performance and stability
QUALIFICATIONS:
2–5 years of professional software development experience
Experience building and maintaining high-quality, performant web applications using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS
Experience designing and developing APIs (RESTful services preferred)
Experience building solutions leveraging Large Language Models
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex problems into manageable solutions
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
A growth mindset with a strong desire to learn, iterate, and improve continuously
