Volley is the leading developer of AI-powered games for Amazon Alexa, Samsung, LG, Roku, Fire TV, and mobile devices. Our games attract millions of users every month. Popular Volley games include Song Quiz, Jeopardy!, CoComelon: Sing and Play with JJ, and The Price Is Right.

We believe voice interfaces will become the main way people access entertainment in their living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and cars. We’re building a bundled subscription product similar to Netflix or Spotify for the emerging category of “AI-powered games.”

Role Summary

Volley is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Hub Team, where you'll drive revenue growth through experimentation and data-driven optimization and own the funnel for acquisition, adoption and retention. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and analytics - and wants to see their work directly translate to business outcomes.

What You’ll Do at Volley

  • Own the complete experimentation lifecycle from hypothesis to implementation to analysis.

  • Make changes to our client-side applications (Alexa, Roku, iOS, Android) to enable and optimize experiments.

  • Partner with Growth, Data, and Product teams to identify and prioritize high-impact experiments.

  • Lead cross-team projects including tracking infrastructure, MarTech stack enhancements, and Hub/game features.

  • Evaluate and implement tools and system changes needed to support growth capabilities.

  • Improve ad attribution systems to help teams understand campaign performance.

  • Become the growth engineering expert and raise the capabilities of other engineers.

We're Excited About You Because You Have

  • 5-8 years of software engineering experience with growth engineering focus.

  • Proven track record running A/B tests and shipping features based on experimental data.

  • Full-stack development expertise (TypeScript, React, Node.js/Bun preferred).

  • Strong experience with analytics and experimentation platforms (Amplitude, Segment, Snowflake, Tableau).

  • Familiarity with attribution and marketing tools (AppsFlyer, Branch, or similar).

  • Deep understanding of conversion funnels, user journeys, and subscription business models.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to drive initiatives across teams.

  • Data-driven decision-making with user-first mentality.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments.

Bonus Points

  •  Experience in gaming, entertainment, or consumer subscription products.

  • Understanding of subscription business models and monetization.

  • Experience integrating marketing tools like Meta/Tiktok pixels, AppsFlyer, Branch, Klaviyo, or Signal.

  • Experience with front-end profiling, optimization, and performance measurement.
