About the team and what we will build together
As a valued member of our developer community, you play a large role understanding pain-points in the market and translating business problems and requirements into working software that supports some of the world's most well-known brands and their customers.
How you will make an impact
Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items)Gain knowledge and control of our loyalty platform integration points (live API's, Batch, Queue based processing).Serves as an expert on a specific business domain and demonstrates leadership and accountability on at least one technology stackParticipate in technical design sessions; work with product owners and team members to solve acceptance criteriaBuild and maintain all configuration and business logic rule documentationCreating products within Test Driven Development; including knowledge and experience in testing frameworks like JunitAssist other team members through coaching, mentoring and peer reviewsPromote and demonstrate good coding practice and patterns for the teamSet accurate time estimates and scope of work for tasks and/or projects assigned to youFill information gaps as needed to accomplish gapsCollaborate with application and system architects to develop and document simple solutions to complex problems and present these solutions to an architecture review boardSuggest innovative new ways to improve processes and/or components of workEffectively work with other groups and third partiesProvides support for loyalty platform in client delivery environments
What you need to be successful
5+ years of experience designing and developing applications and components using Java and Spring (Prefer JDK 17+ with Spring Boot and Batch)5+ years of experience in front-end web application development2+ years of experience designing and developing applications using Angular (Prefer version 7+)3+ years of experience developing RESTful services using JSONExperience developing microservice cloud applications (Oracle, AWS, or Azure)3+ years of experience developing SQL multi-table queries, inserts, and updates (Prefer Oracle / PostgreSQL)Experience tuning SQL statements with execution explain plansFamiliarity with Agile (e.g., Scrum Process)Experience developing Loyalty, Accounting, or Banking applications preferredMessage Queues (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka Streams) preferredBuilding Docker containers and configuring Kubernetes clusters (kubectl, Docker for Desktop) preferredBuild Management tools (Bitbucket/Git, Gradle, Bamboo) preferredExcellent written and verbal communication
