Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile Application) to help enhance and modernize a mobile app integrated with a cloud-based rental management (ERP) system for the equipment rental industry. You’ll work on core features like inventory tracking, inspection workflows, and maintenance history using tools such as Ready Tags and the R360 inspection SDK.

The ideal candidate is a senior full-stack mobile engineer comfortable across backend and frontend systems, with an AI-forward mindset. This role also involves reducing technical debt, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring AI-generated code is validated and production-ready.

Primary Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain the mobile application and its integration with a cloud-based rental management system (ERP).
• Build and support features for inventory tracking systems such as Ready Tags (color-coded equipment status tracking).
• Integrate and extend functionality using the R360 inspection app SDK.
• Improve mobile-to-cloud synchronization for inspection, maintenance, and equipment lifecycle data.
• Design and build scalable APIs to support mobile and cloud integration.
• Identify, resolve, and reduce technical debt across mobile and backend systems.
• Participate in modernization efforts to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Review, validate, and refine AI-generated code, ensuring correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment (standups, sprint planning, etc.).
• Take ownership of deliverables and drive work independently with minimal oversight.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (senior-level only).
• Strong experience in mobile application development (iOS, Android, or cross-platform frameworks).
• Full-stack capability with experience across backend and frontend systems.
• Experience with backend systems and APIs (RESTful API design and integration).
• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and mobile-to-cloud synchronization patterns.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across multiple technologies and frameworks.
• Proven experience working with technical debt, system modernization, or legacy system enhancements.
• Strong code review and validation skills, especially in AI-assisted development workflows.
• Demonstrated AI-first / AI-forward mindset—leveraging AI as a core development tool, not just experimentation.
• Comfortable working in open-source or mixed technology environments.
• Ownership mentality with the ability to drive work independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

What Stands Out

• Experience building or maintaining mobile applications integrated with enterprise/cloud systems.
• Hands-on experience with inventory tracking, inspection workflows, or field service applications.
• Exposure to SDK integration (e.g., inspection, scanning, or device-based systems).
• Experience improving legacy systems and reducing technical debt in production environments.
• Developers who can critically evaluate and improve AI-generated code rather than blindly accept it.

Other Information 

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required. Salary dependent upon experience.
