ROLE

We're looking for a passionate and skilled Sr Software Engineer to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in building and scaling our core products, tackling complex challenges, and contributing to a culture of collaboration and innovation. In this role you can expect to:

Design & Build: You'll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to deployment and maintenance. You'll architect, develop, and test new features for Propel's products, ensuring they're robust, scalable, and user-friendly.

Collaborate: Work closely with a diverse team of engineers, product managers, and designers to turn ideas into reality. You'll contribute to an agile development process, participate in technical discussions, and help define our product roadmap.

Innovate & Problem-Solve: Tackle complex technical problems with elegant, efficient solutions. Your creativity and problem-solving skills will be essential as we scale our platform and introduce new features.

Drive Quality: Uphold and champion our standards for code quality through thorough code reviews and writing comprehensive unit and integration tests. You'll ensure our products are reliable and performant.

Communicate & Grow: Be a prolific communicator — clear in writing, thoughtful in technical discussions, and collaborative with cross-functional partners. Maintain a strong penchant for learning: stay curious, seek feedback, and continuously sharpen your technical and professional skills.

To be successful in this role you bring:

Education : BE/B.Tech/MCA

4 to 6 years of professional software development experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup or tech environment.

Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C++, or C#. Experience with our specific tech stack is a plus!

A solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.

Practical experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Familiarity with modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies, Git, and issue tracking tools like Jira.

A passion for writing meaningful tests and ensuring high test coverage.

Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI-powered coding tools (e.g., Windsurf, Cursor, or similar AI assistants) to enhance coding efficiency and quality.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you can clearly articulate technical concepts to peers and stakeholders.
