The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with frontend engineering expertise to join our Engineering team. You’ll work alongside the CTO and other engineers to build Soris’ first MVP. This is a ground-floor opportunity where your work will directly shape the platform, culture, and impact of Soris.
Candidates with a good fit for this role:
Are fluent in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and modern web tooling
Have extensive experience building web applications end-to-end
Want to ship fast, iterate, and own outcomes.
Thrive in ambiguity, asking questions and solving problems across the stack.
Believe in building systems that are secure, transparent, and human-friendly.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain scalable web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and related technologies.
Create reusable UI components that will be present in all Soris applications.
Ensure a positive user experience for all types of users, with accessibility in mind.
Work closely with designers to translate high-fidelity designs into polished user-interfaces.
Design and build core AI systems that solve real-world problems.
Requirements
5+ years of experience building production web applications.
Fluency in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and modern web technologies.
Experience with state management (Redux, MobX, Recoil, or similar)
Familiarity with Restful APIs and GraphQL
Proficiency in testing frameworks (JEST, React Testing Library, or Cypress)
Knowledge of build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel)
Nice-To-Haves
Exposure to design systems (Figma)
Familiarity with frontend observability (Sentry, Datadog)
