Senior / Staff Frontend Engineer (React)

As a Senior / Staff Frontend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping web applications that serve hundreds of thousands of customers across Europe. You will work on modernizing and expanding a high-performance financial platform, delivering new features, and migrating legacy codebases to React. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Backend Engineering, while leveraging AI-driven tools to accelerate development and experimentation. Your contributions will directly influence platform quality, developer experience, and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on role with a focus on technical excellence, innovation, and mentoring peers in a fast-growing, collaborative environment.

• Design, implement, and maintain frontend components using React, HTML, and CSS (without relying on CSS frameworks).
• Participate in the migration of legacy codebases from Ember.js to React while ensuring stability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver new features and improve the user experience.
• Leverage AI-powered tools for code exploration, prototyping, technical design, and quality assurance, while exercising critical judgment.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to improving internal frontend tooling, development workflows, and team processes.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, testing, and observability.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience in frontend engineering, with strong proficiency in React.js or Ember.js.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles; experience with pure CSS is required.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to apply outputs critically.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Experience in collaborative, cross-functional teams and Agile workflows.
• English proficiency (B2 or above); additional languages are a plus.
• Adaptability to fast-changing technical environments and eagerness to contribute to continuous improvement.
