About the team: JioHotstar's world-record-breaking OTT platform is available in India, the international market. We are home to India's largest entertainment content catalog for the Indian diaspora in the UK. We are hiring senior engineers for our UK and international teams to develop systems that drive business growth in the country. This is a unique opportunity to work across the JioHotstar tech stack and work on the most impactful projects. You will contribute to the common stack, build frameworks to offer geography-specific differentiated features and create subscriber and business growth platform for the company.
Key responsibilities:
Design and build applications to deliver a high performance system and highly engaging UIYou will work with the engineering team to optimize applications for performance and scalability across Mobile, Web and Living Room devicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresServes as the functional lead, possess deep knowledge of core systems and takes full responsibility for the team's code, design, and project delivery, ensuring high quality and on-time completionBuild the next-generation user experience and the platforms required to enable intuitive content discovery for our customers Work with the engineering team to optimize applications for performance and scalability across various platforms, Mobile, Web, and Living Room devicesProvide mentorship and guidance to other developers
Skills and attributes for success:
Strong experience in Javascript language, especially ReactDeep knowledge about how browsers workDeep understanding about design & architecture patternsHighly enthusiastic and enjoy learning new technologies and frameworksYou know why a framework is necessary and know any of React, AngularJS etcOpen source contribution is good to haveProficient understanding of code versioning tools GitFamiliarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt or Gulp
Preferred education and experience:
Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or a related field with 9-12 years of professional experience as a frontend developer with hands-on experience on Javascript.
