About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Symfony & PHP Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain the core backend systems of our products. You’ll work as part of an Agile team, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build scalable, reliable features that solve real-world problems.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys clean code, leading technical discussions, mentoring others, and shipping tested solutions that meet business needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design and develop backend features that align with business goals and customer needsMaintain and improve test coverage using PHPUnitBuild scalable, testable APIs and backend systemsWrite clean, maintainable code that meets agreed quality standardsReview requirements and provide technical input and feedbackCollaborate closely with product, design, and QA teamsMonitor systems and respond to issues as part of a rotating on-call scheduleBreak down larger projects into manageable tasks and guide others through implementationParticipate in code reviews and offer constructive feedbackContinuously improve processes and suggest technical enhancementsPromote secure coding practices and ensure code is free of known vulnerabilitiesDocument features, processes, and architecture for team-wide knowledge sharing
Must-Have Skills
5+ years of experience working with PHP3+ years of hands-on experience with Symfony2+ years writing unit tests with PHPUnitExcellent communication skills in cross-functional teams
Nice-to-Have Skills
Strong experience with MongoDBFamiliarity with JavaScript, React, Node.js, and/or TypeScriptExperience with Docker and/or KubernetesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipeline workflows
