The Software Developer in Test will be a part of the Caseware Team. Our platform that streamlines and automates many tasks that accountants, auditors and tax professionals around the world perform on a daily basis, supports the development of additional applications, add-ins and extensions to meet the needs of these professionals globally in every industry.
What you will do:
Design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks for Caseware’s web-based SaaS productsPerform and guide functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testingCollaborate with development and product specialists to refine user stories, acceptance criteria and testabilityAnalyze requirements and technical designs to identify risk areas and critical test scenariosInvestigate, document and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysisImprove test coverage, test reliability, and overall QA processesMentor junior SDET team membersAdvocate for quality best practices across the engineering organization
What you will bring:
Medior (3–5 years) experience in QA, test automation, or SDET rolesProven experience testing complex web applications, preferably SaaS productsStrong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a structured approach to problem-solvingHands-on experience in test automation using modern tools and frameworks, specifically CypressSolid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologiesAbility to write clear, maintainable and well-structured test cases and codeComfortable working in cross-functional, international teamsGood coordination skills, being able to drive continuous QA-awareness within the teamGood command of Dutch and English.
Nice to have:
Experience in domains such as audit, accounting, financial reporting, or compliance softwareExperience with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions) and Atlassian products such a Jira and ConfluenceISTQB or other QA-related certificationsKnowledge of cloud platforms and modern web architecturesExperience contributing to test strategy or quality transformation initiatives
