Job Description
Codes and assists in the design of software components, units and modules for client/customers.
Prepares comprehensive test plans.
Conducts tests.
Identifies and debugs simple problems.
Provides test results and recommends more complex corrections to senior developers.
Codes enhancements and supports features.
Writes product and user documentation.
Requires extensive knowledge of one or more platforms and operating systems, and of programming languages such as C and C++.
Typically requires knowledge of one or more systems architectures such as client /server and distributed processing.
Education and Years of Experience
Typically has a Bachelor's degree, and 3 - 5 years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience; e.g., each year of work experience may be substituted for each year of education required
Required Skills
Ability to utilize skills in: Programming Scripted/interpreted languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Shell Script, Etc) Programming Complied languages (e.g., C/C++, Rust, Ada, etc.)
Development and implementation of software solutions: Programming specialists design and create software applications to meet business requirements.
Debug and test: Troubleshoot and test software to ensure it functions correctly and efficiently.
Collaborate with team: Work with other team members to coordinate and execute specific projects.
Provide program updates and reports: Provide regular updates and reports to management, helping to track the success of their programs.
Preferred Skills
Ability to Utilize:
Containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Virtualization (eg., VMware, KVM)
Elastic Stack or Grafana Linux experience
Data analysis Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning implementation
Working Conditions
Indoor atmosphere with occasional travel and testing evaluation.
