About the Role:
HighLevel is looking for passionate SDET2 for its Full-time remote engineering team in India. You will be responsible for ensuring that the new releases we make for features, enhancements, or new products meet the strict standards of quality & consistency. The buck stops at you and you will have the final say on the correctness, reliability & consistency of our builds.
Responsibilities:
Quality & Testing:Contribute to the quality of Forms, Surveys, Quizzes, QR Codes & External Tracking modules through effective manual testing and reliable automation coverageDesign and execute functional, regression, and exploratory test cases for end-to-end scenarios across web and mobile experiencesValidate real-world use cases including conditional logic, field behaviors, submission flows, multi-step surveys, and integrations with other HighLevel products
Automation:Build and maintain UI and API automation suites using Playwright as the primary automation frameworkCollaborate with senior SDETs and developers to improve automation efficiency, stability, and overall coverageEnsure automation suites remain up to date and aligned with evolving product architecture
Cross-Team Collaboration:Work closely with product managers, UX designers, backend and frontend engineers to understand requirements, workflows, and edge casesParticipate in sprint planning, bug triages, release readiness reviews, and cross-functional QA initiativesProvide clear, data-backed QA insights that help influence product quality decisions
Process & Quality Improvements:Identify quality gaps and recommend improvements to workflows, automation processes, test case design, and regression cyclesContribute to internal QA best practices and maintain testing documentationSupport integration testing with APIs and ensure strong coverage for cross-team functionalities
AI & Tooling Awareness:- Use basic AI tools (e.g., LLM-assisted reviews, AI-supported test case generation, pattern analysis) to streamline test design and validation efforts- Understand how AI-driven features impact Forms & Surveys behavior and incorporate them into test strategies
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in software testing for SaaS or web applicationsStrong knowledge of API testing using Postman, JMeter, or equivalent toolsHands-on experience with Playwright for UI and API automationProgramming proficiency in at least one language: Java, JavaScript/Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or RubySolid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser debugging toolsExperience working with CI/CD pipelines and basic familiarity with cloud environmentsStrong manual testing skills with experience designing robust test strategies for complex UI and logic-driven workflowsExperience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple testing prioritiesExperience testing dynamic UI builders or schema-driven systemsExposure to white-box and black-box testing methodologiesExperience validating distributed systems or API-heavy applicationsBasic understanding of performance or security testing concepts
