Software Engineer - Perception / Fleet Mapping

High-definition HD maps are foundational to enabling safe, scalable autonomous driving. We are seeking highly motivated engineers who are passionate about solving complex, real-world problems and building state-of-the-art mapping systems.

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional team to design and develop large-scale HD mapping algorithms, workflows, and data pipelines. Your work will directly impact our ability to efficiently map new cities and continuously update existing maps at scale, playing a critical role in accelerating our autonomous vehicle deployment.

In this role, you will:

  • Automate large-scale mapping pipelines and workflows
  • Contribute to scalable algorithms for map creation, validation, and maintenance
  • Ensure system reliability and performance through testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of production systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of teams working on things such as perception, planning, prediction, simulation, etc
  • Propose tool and/or feature ideas to the team to improve processes
  • Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years experience
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python
  • Experience in cloud / distributed computing and automating pipelines
  • Experience in industry software devops workflow and tools, for example, CI / CD
  • Experience working with 3D sensor data from cameras and/or lidars
  • Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with mapping or geospatial data
  • Experience with React and frontend development
  • Experience with database design and API development
