We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Search team at Moonpig. Search plays a huge role in helping millions of customers explore our extensive product catalogue and create meaningful moments with the people they care about.
You’ll work on highly scalable, resilient systems using technologies like Opensearch, AWS serverless, .NET, and React, contributing to features that directly shape the customer experience. Key Responsibilities
Be part of a cross-functional team designing, building, and A/B testing new features to improve how customers discover productsUse agile principles to scope, track, and deliver work from idea through to productionContribute ideas to roadmap planning and help shape how we evolve our search capabilitiesBuild and maintain backend integrations with our search engine and AWS-based infrastructureDevelop and maintain customer-facing features using React, GraphQL, and modern frontend practicesWrite clean, maintainable code using technologies including AWS, Terraform, Node.js, .NET, C#, TypeScript, and GitHub CI/CD pipelinesCreate and maintain appropriate tests to ensure reliability and safety across the codebaseSupport client teams integrating with our services, offering guidance and technical supportCollaborate with engineers and data teams to design and deliver AI/ML-driven features using internal ML APIs and external LLMsActively learn from colleagues and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement
About You
You enjoy working collaboratively and thrive in highly cross-functional teams You’re motivated by solving problems and improving how things work You have experience or a strong interest in search technologies such as Opensearch You’ve worked with parts of our tech stack, including AWS serverless, React, Node.js, TypeScript, or GraphQL You have experience across frontend and backend development, or you’re keen to continue growing as a full-stack engineer You’re curious, eager to learn, and open to new tools, processes, and ways of working You can contribute to technical discussions and help deliver high-quality solutions Experience with serverless or event-driven systems is a bonus
