Job Description:
The Software Security Engineer serves as key personnel responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and compliance of multiple bespoke mission critical applications undergoing modernization and ongoing operations and maintenance. The engineer provides expert guidance on secure software design, code analysis, vulnerability mitigation, and implementation of secure development lifecycle practices.
Work you'll do:
- Lead software security engineering activities for modernization and O&M of custom applications.
- Conduct secure code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and security architecture evaluations.
- Implement and enforce secure SDLC processes and automation in coordination with development teams.
- Ensure compliance with NIST RMF, FISMA, and agency security policies.
- Support risk assessments, incident response, and preparation of security documentation and ATO artifacts.
Here's what you'll need:
- CISSP certification
- 10+ years of software security engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Securing custom or legacy software systems
- Secure coding practices
- Federal security frameworks
- AWS GovCloud
- DevOps
Security clearance:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is required
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. $116,900—$243,100 USD
